GET IT IN WRITING

By admin on November 28, 2012 in Uncategorized with 0 comments

The public should always get a written contract when doing renovation projects to avoid the pitfalls of dealing with an “Underground Operator”.

The “Underground Cash Economy” may lead to shoddy workmanship and leaves unsuspecting home owners without legal recourse or warranties and with liabilites that most customers are totally unaware of.

Most “Underground Operators” do not carry proper Liability Insurance nor Workers Compensation Insurance.

These “Underground Operators” are cheating both their customers and Legitimate Renovators by not paying their fair share of taxes and not being properly insured.

Why take a chance with a contractor who wants to deal on a “CASH ONLY” basis with no written contract.  Would you really want to hire somebody who is not covered for liability insurance, property damage and Worker’s Compensation?  Just think of the horrendous cost if a ladder or scaffolding fell and severed a hydro line to your  home also knocking out service to several more homes!   Maybe a fire and personal injuries too!  These unfortunate incidents CAN and DO happen!  If your contractor is not covered by the proper insurance YOU may be held liable for damages.

We have SUCCESSFULLY SERVED the Niagara Peninsula for more than 60 years and will continue to do so in the future.  We also look forward to serving you soon, it’s a decision we know you won’t regret.
